Queens Gardens Apartments (Former Newcastle Libary)

Refurbishment, Extensions and New build on the site of a former Police station to provide 36 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, a gym and underground parking.   Reuse of the existing 2 storey concrete framed main building above a basement.  Conversion of basement into underground parking  and addition of three storey lightweight vertical extensions using Light Guage Steel framing over a steel podium deck off the existing concrete columns, structural assessment and strengthening works including full façade renewal.
