Meet Our Skilled Team

Steve Clarkson

MANAGING DIRECTOR (BEng CEng MIStructE)

Steve has been a prominent Consulting Engineer in the Midlands for a number of years having graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1994. Steve became a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Structural Engineers in 2000. Steve is responsible for the overall management of C2C as well as maintaining a ‘hands-on’ approach in leading projects of all values.

Josh Maughan

SENIOR ENGINEER (BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering)

Josh graduated form the University of Manchester in 2013 and now has over 10 years’ experience within the construction industry. Over these years he has gained valuable experience in all types of projects including domestic, commercial, industrial and education building. Josh joined C2C in 2023 and is responsible for the project management and design of various sized projects within the office.

Jasmine Gillatt

CIVIL ENGINEER (BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering)

Jasmine graduated in 2022 with a BSc(Hons) Civil Engineering degree from Nottingham Trent University. Since graduating she has been working in consultancy and joined C2C in 2024 to bring her invaluable experience to the Civil Engineering Department working alongside Steve Jeffreys. Jasmine provides client liaison, highway and drainage authority technical submissions, technical calculations, sustainable drainage designs and drawings for both Drainage and Highways projects including low rise / multistorey residential and large commercial developments. She is competent in a variety of software including AutoCad, Site3D, Civil3D, MicroDrainage, Causeway FLOW.

Sophie Kelly

UNDERGRADUATE

Sophie started an undergraduate placement in September 2025 after having completed her first two years of a BEng in Civil Engineering at Cardiff University. She is developing her skills and gaining industry experience with C2C.

Karl Jervis

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR (MEng CEng MIStructE)

Karl is a highly respected Engineer throughout the region having worked for Local and International consulting engineering practices for over 15 years. Karl graduated from the University of Manchester in 2003 and became a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Structural Engineers in 2012. Karl is project lead and manages a team of Technical staff to deliver projects across all sectors and values.

Phil Ellett

PRINCIPAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (HNC Civil Engineering)

Phil is a qualified Civil and Structural Engineering Technician with significant years of engineering experience. He has considerable knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is able to produce detailed Construction drawings as well as structural BIM Level 2 models with appropriate Level of Detail, collaborative output and sharing design models. With a wide range of engineering knowledge and a multi-disciplinary outlook Phil brings cross-sector best practice and a quality of work that is second to none.

Oana Carpenter

CAD TECHNICIAN (Degree in Architecture)

Oana graduated in 2012 from the Ion Mincu university of Architecture and urban Planning with an Intergrated Masters Degree in Architecture.   She has experience in working with a large range of CAD software like Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD and Revit. Oana will be starting a Master of science course in Construction Science and Management.

DANIEL SMITH

APPRENTICE (T.Level in Design Planning and Engineering)

Dan Joined C2C in 2025 he has recently achieved his T-level qualification in Design, Planning and Surveying at Reaseheath College, where he combined academic study with a placement at C2C Consulting. He has now joined C2C Consulting full-time as a Higher Apprentice while pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at University of Derby. The skills and insight gained through his T-level studies and placement have provided a strong foundation that will be invaluable as he takes the next step in his career.

Tim Wright

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR (BEng IEng AMIStructE)

Tim is a highly regarded Engineer having worked in consulting engineering practices for over 20 years during which time has built up a wealth of local knowledge. Tim graduated from Coventry University in 1997 and became an Associate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2006. Tim is responsible for delivering projects from feasibility stage through to detailed design and site implementation.

SENIOR CAD AND BIM TECHNICIAN (HNC Civil Engineering)

Steven manages the CAD office and has been a technician in the field for over 10 years. He is HNC qualified in Civil Engineering and is skilled with AutoCAD and Revit.

PROJECT MANAGER (BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering)

Paul has been working in Structural engineering in the east of England area for 20 years, having started as a draftsman and working way up to producing full structural solutions for a variety of projects. Over the years he has been solely responsible for the structural design of over 2000 projects with the majority being domestic bespoke designs. Paul joined C2C in 2025 and is responsible for project management and design of various sized projects.

William Edge

APPRENTICE (T.Level in Design Planning and Engineering)

William joined C2C in 2025 and is currently undertaking a Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at the University of Derby, having previously studied a T Level in Design, Surveying, and Planning at NSCG. As part of his T Level course, he attended a local Quantity Surveying firm in his first year but wished to further his understanding in a different sector of work so joined C2C for the second year of the course. The T level course has gained him valuable knowledge which he has used in the workplace.

Sam Walker

SENIOR ENGINEER (MEng (Hons) GIStructE )

Sam graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2021 having obtained a first class masters degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.  During this time, he completed a Year in Industry with an international engineering consultancy.  Sam worked with C2C previously prior to his graduation, reinforcing his passion for structural analysis and design. His enthusiasm is reflected in his approach to engineering and his drive to progress within the industry.

Abubaker Abdelaziz

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (MSC in Civil Engineering)

Abubaker Abdelaziz holds a BSC in Civil Engineering from the University of Khartoum (2017) and two master’s degrees from the University of Liverpool (2021) and the University of South Wales (2025). With over six years of international experience, including five as a Structural Engineer, he Joined C2C in August 2025 to continue pursuing his passion for structural engineering.

Having graduated from Staffordshire University in 1999 with a Building Surveying Degree, Nigel entered the Structural and Civil Engineering industry straight from university.  Developing from the detailing side as a technician.  Nigel joined C2C in 2023, he brings a wealth of Knowledge in all the sectors of Civil and Structural Engineering including drainage and external works design, reinforced concrete detailing and steel/masonry framed buiding detailing.

Michael Shaw

CAD TECHNICIAN (HNC in Mechanical Engineering)

Michael is a Structural and Civil Engineering Technician and has been in Engineering for over 45 years. He is HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering with full Technological Certificate in product design and is skilled with AutoCAD, Unigraphics NX and Solidworks.

Richel graduated from the University of Sheffield with an integrated master’s degree in civil & Structural Engineering. During the course of the degree, she has done various internships both in the UK and internationally.  She is passionate about structural design whilst always striving to deliver high-quality work and appreciates the importance of sustainability in every project.
